What is 9/11 Truth?

9/11 truth is general term that describes a belief that the "official story" of the September
11th terrorist attacks is not entirely correct.
The individuals and groups who adhere to the 9/11 Truth philosophy are said to be a part of the 9/11 Truth Movement.
Members of the 9/11 Truth Movement point to scientific evidence and common sense as for main reasons why they doubt the government and mainstream media's official story. The specific beliefs within the 9/11 Truth Movement, however, are widespread (see beliefs of "9/11 Truth" article for more).
Most members of the 9/11 Truth Movement do not claim to know the "truth" to what happened on 9/11. Almost all 9/11 Truth members want an independent investigation to reexamine the 9/11 tragedies to determine the truth.
The 9/11 Truth Movement does not have a formal governing organization. Nor is it associated with any particular political or religious belief. The 9/11 Truth Movement has members from all over the world with very diverse backgrounds.
The Internet serves as the chief medium that connects for the 9/11 Truth Movement. Documentaries featuring 9/11 Truth issues have proliferated the Internet in recent years and have informed millions about the 9/11 Truth message. Several published books written by 9/11 Truth experts and experienced researchers have reached bestseller status in several markets. Other forms of media such as radio talk shows, Internet blogs, and Podcasts are increasingly covering 9/11 Truth issues. 9/11 Truth conferences held at major metropolitan areas around the globe have attracted thousands of individuals. As a result, the 9/11 Truth Movement has seen rapid growth in 2006 and 2007.
The heart of the 9/11 Truth issues goes beyond the unanswered questions regarding the 9/11 terrorist attacks. For most members in the 9/11 Truth Movement, 9/11 Truth represents ideals much wider in scope such as restoring Constitutional rights, promoting freedom, restricting U.S. hegemony, and preventing government corruption.
Members inside and outside of the 9/11 Truth Movement have both recognized the dramatic changes in economic trends, political actions, and foreign policies that have been caused by 9/11.
